Sensex swings between profit & loss; Coforge, Swiggy top MidCap gainers

The Nifty50 and the Sensex were trading slightly higher and moving in a narrow range as oil prices extended their losses on signs of progressing negotiation between the US and Iran.

As of 11:00 AM, the Nifty50 was up 34.15 points or 0.14 per cent at 24,030.10, and the Sensex rose 111.98 points or 0.15 per cent to 76,947.76.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Tech Mahindra, and Infosys were leading gains in the benchmark Nifty50 index.

In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap was up 0.24 per cent and the SmallCap fell 0.23 per cent.

Sector-wise, the Nifty IT gained nearly 3 per cent amid a rout in global chip stocks. The index was outperforming its peers. The Nifty PSU Bank declined the most.
