US strikes Iran after Trump vows to ‘beat the f*ing st’ out of Tehran

The US military said on Wednesday it carried out a new wave of strikes against Iranian targets after President Donald Trump vowed to retaliate “very hard” for Tehran’s missile attack on American forces stationed in Jordan.

In a statement, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it struck dozens of targets linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal defense sites, surveillance systems, and maritime assets.

“The strikes aimed to further diminish threats posed by Iran and its proxies to American forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring Gulf countries,” CENTCOM said.

Iranian state media reported that two people were injured in strikes on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz, while explosions were also reported in Khuzestan province.

Trump vows to ‘hit them very hard’

The latest military action followed Trump’s warning that the US would respond forcefully to Iran’s missile attack on American troops.

“So it’s our turn,” Trump told reporters at the White House, adding that the US would “hit them very hard.”

In an interview with Fox News, Trump escalated his rhetoric, saying Washington would “beat the f**king sh*t out” of Iran and promised a heavy military response.

Iran targeted US base in Jordan

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it launched missiles on Tuesday at Jordan’s Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, a major US military installation, according to state-run IRNA news agency.

Jordan’s military said its air defenses intercepted and destroyed five Iranian missiles before they reached their targets.

The US military later announced that American and Saudi fighter jets struck multiple logistics and weapons facilities in eastern Iraq, saying the action was in response to drone attacks linked to Iran-backed groups.

The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), an umbrella coalition of mostly Shiite militias that operates under Iraq’s military, said at least 20 fighters were killed and 32 wounded in the overnight strikes. Two Iraqi militia officials also told the Associated Press that six Iranian military advisers were among the dead.

Peace prospects remain uncertain

Despite recent claims by Trump and senior US officials that Iran is interested in resuming negotiations, Tehran has denied making any request to restart diplomatic talks.

Iran’s deputy foreign minister said Tuesday that no proposal for renewed negotiations had been made for more than two weeks.

The latest escalation comes amid a conflict that began in February after US and Israeli forces launched a bombing campaign against Iran. A ceasefire reached in June later collapsed, with fighting resuming around the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, which Iran claims is now under its control.
