Sensex rebounds 300 pts from day’s low; KEI Ind, M&M Fin lead MidCap losses

The Nifty50 and the Sensex pared losses from the day’s low as realty and bank shares advanced.

As of 11:00 AM, the Sensex fell 218.41 points or 0.3 per cent to 73,491.28, and the Nifty50 was down 77.45 points or 0.34 per cent at 22,733.90.

Power Grid Corporation, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Nestle India were the top losers in the Nifty50 index.

In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and the Nifty SmallCap fell 1.04 per cent and 0.91 per cent, respectively.

Sector-wise, the Nifty Chemical, Nifty Auto, and Nifty Metal were underperforming while Nifty outperformed.
