Sensex off 300 pts from day’s high, Nifty below 23,200; JNK India shares jump 10%

The Nifty50 and the Sensex were trading higher as realty, financial, and auto stocks supported, while traders assessed the status of the ceasefire between the US and Iran.

As of 10:00 AM, the Nifty50 was up 65.35 points or 0.28 per cent at 23,188.35, and the Sensex rose 0.30 per cent or 217.26 points higher at 73,741.52.

Trent, InterGlobe Aviation, and Grasim Industries were the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and the Nifty SmallCap indices were trading 1.07 per cent and 1.09 per cent higher, respectively.

Sector-wise, the Nifty Realty, the Nifty Financial Services, and the Nifty Bank outperformed. Bucking the trend, the Nifty It declined to become the underperformer.

Iran halted the strikes on Israel but warned that Tehran would resume if Israel continued operations in Lebanon. Meanwhile, questions were raised on the status of the ceasefire between the US and Iran.

IPO Today

Hexagon Nutrition IPO will enter its final day of subscription. It’s a book-build issue worth ₹138.87 crores.

Similarly, Genxai Analytics IPO will also open for the final day of subscription. The company is seeking to raise ₹54.84 crore from the primary market.
