Ray J claims $6M settlement with Kim Kardashian in escalating legal battle
Newly surfaced documents have alleged a confidential $6 million settlement between Ray J and Kim Kardashian, adding fresh momentum to their ongoing legal dispute.
The reported nine-page agreement, published by TMZ, is said to carry signatures from Ray J, Kardashian, Kris Jenner and others. It allegedly includes provisions to avoid public attacks and limit legal exposure involving Disney and Hulu.
The development comes amid an ongoing legal clash. In October 2025, Kardashian and Jenner filed a defamation lawsuit against Ray J over remarks suggesting potential criminal conduct. During a May 2025 interview, he referenced racketeering, later stating in a September livestream that “the feds is coming.”
Ray J filed a countersuit a month later, alleging Kardashian breached a prior understanding by revisiting the sex tape controversy in the The Kardashians. He claims mediation led to the $6 million agreement but argues it was violated when the issue resurfaced in later episodes.
Kardashian has strongly denied the allegations, calling claims of a coordinated release of the tape for publicity “a lie” in a March 2026 court filing. Jenner also rejected the accusations, describing them as “deeply offensive and harmful.”
The legal battle remains ongoing, with both sides continuing to contest claims tied to one of pop culture’s most persistent controversies.
