INDIA bloc leaders will march to the Supreme Court on Monday and file a petition against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged “vote chori” (vote theft), Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi said.

Addressing a press conference at Indira Bhawan, Rahul Gandhi invited people from across political parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), to join the planned march to the Supreme Court.

“This fight is to save the Constitution. This is not about Rahul Gandhi or Narendra Modi,” he said, urging people to participate in what he described as a fight for their future.

“If you cannot come directly for whatever reason, express solidarity with us however you can at 3 pm, when we file the petition in the Supreme Court [against Gyanesh Kumar],” Gandhi said.

He added that the march would begin from Barakhamba Junction at 1:30 pm and urged everyone concerned about protecting the Constitution to join.

“If people belonging to the BJP think the Constitution is under attack, join us. It does not matter to us,” he said.

‘200 Modi Government Officers In Touch With Us’

Rahul Gandhi claimed that around 200 officers within the Narendra Modi-led government were in contact with the Opposition and passing on information.

“I want to tell PM Modi, 200 officers from within your government are in touch with us; they are passing on information to us,” he alleged.

Gandhi also claimed that around 50% of police personnel supported the Opposition’s actions. He named the police, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) while describing what he called a divide between them and the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, the CEC and some Election Commission members.

He accused these officials of facilitating alleged “vote chori” and undermining the country. These claims were made by Gandhi at the press conference.

INDIA Bloc Protests Over Electoral Roll Revision

The Opposition INDIA bloc has called for a march from Connaught Place to the Supreme Court to protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The proposed march comes amid heightened security in Delhi following two consecutive days of police action and mass detentions linked to a planned Jantar Mantar protest by the Abhijeet Dipke-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).

Police have barricaded roads leading to Jantar Mantar and deployed personnel at key intersections to prevent protesters from gathering at the designated protest site.

Delhi Traffic Advisory Ahead Of March

The Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory late Sunday warning of possible disruptions across New Delhi and central Delhi on Monday.

Traffic diversions and restrictions are scheduled to take effect from 6 am, depending on the situation on the ground. Commuters have been advised to account for possible delays while travelling through the affected areas.
