Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday accepted the demands of protesting students, announcing the cancellation of all examinations conducted by TDPL (TSR Data Processing Private Limited), including the JSSC-CGL exam, amid allegations of irregularities in the recruitment process.

Soren also ordered a comprehensive inquiry into irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted in the state since 2014.

Addressing reporters, Soren said the government had decided to cancel all activities associated with TDPL, including examinations conducted, results declared, and selections made.

“The Cabinet has decided to cancel the JSSC-CGL examinations,” Soren said, adding that the government would investigate all errors, whether minor or major, that have occurred since 2014.

The chief minister also announced the formation of an examination reforms committee headed by senior IAS officer Amitabh Kaushal.

Soren said the probe had uncovered several surprising findings, but these could not be disclosed at this stage.

He further said the state Cabinet would soon discuss amendments made by the Centre to the MMDR Act and could consider convening a special session if required.

JPSC-JSSC aspirants were seen celebrating and getting emotional after the government accepted their demands. A video shared by news agency PTI showed students expressing relief following the announcement.
