Doctors Warn: These 7 Signs Could Be Early Heart Failure — Spot #3 Before It’s Too Late

Dr Dmitry Yaranov, a cardiologist, has warned that many people miss the early warning signs of heart failure, often mistaking them for ordinary fatigue or lifestyle-related issues.

In a September 9 Instagram post, Dr Yaranov said persistent, unexplained tiredness is among the most overlooked symptoms. “I hear this from two to three of my patients every day… ‘I was just tired all the time. I thought it was something I ate. I didn’t think heart failure could feel like this.’ But it can. And it does — especially at the start,” he noted.

7 Signs of Heart Failure You Might Be Ignoring

According to Dr Yaranov, real patients often report:

  • Fatigue so deep that caffeine doesn’t help

  • Persistent bloating, even without heavy meals

  • Clothes feeling tighter around the waist

  • Feeling full quickly or skipping meals but still gaining weight

  • Needing naps just to get through the day

  • A constant, subtle shortness of breath

  • Unexplained weight gain

‘Trust the Quiet Signs’

Dr Yaranov stressed that heart failure can begin silently, particularly in younger or active people, and urged people not to dismiss these subtle changes. Early detection and treatment, he said, can greatly improve both quality of life and long-term outcomes.

“No chest pain. No dramatic collapse. Just a body quietly struggling — until it can’t anymore,” he explained. “Don’t wait until it’s obvious. Trust the quiet signs. Get checked.”
