CJP continues indefinite protest at Jantar Mantar, demands Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over exam irregularities

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) continued its “indefinite sit-in” protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Sunday, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged exam irregularities.

The protest returned to the national capital on Saturday after the CJP held demonstrations in several cities across India, calling for action over recent examination controversies and accountability from the government.

Despite police instructions to vacate the protest site, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and supporters remained at Jantar Mantar and said they would continue the demonstration.

Ahead of Sunday’s protest, Dipke alleged that water facilities at the public restroom near the protest area had been cut off by Delhi police and security personnel in an attempt to force protesters to leave. No official response was mentioned.

CJP appeals to NEET candidates

Ahead of the NEET UG re-examination, Dipke wished candidates appearing for the test and urged them to join the protest after completing their exam.

The NEET UG re-test was scheduled across 5,424 centres nationwide for around 22 lakh aspirants.

The re-examination was ordered after the original test, held on May 3, was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak and other irregularities.
