Accused held for killing civil servant’s daughter at Delhi residence

A suspect has been arrested by Delhi Police in connection with the murder of a senior civil servant’s daughter, who was found dead at her home in southeast Delhi’s upscale Kailash Hills area on Wednesday.

Investigators suspect a former domestic help to be behind the crime. Officials said he came under suspicion as he had been dismissed from service around one-and-a-half months ago.

According to police, CCTV footage shows the accused entering the house at 6:28 am and leaving at 7:22 am on the day of the incident.

A 21-year-old woman was allegedly killed at her residence in Kailash Hills on Wednesday morning. Preliminary findings suggest a charging cable may have been used in the murder.

The victim, police said, is the daughter of a senior civil servant. Suspicion has focused on the former domestic help, who had previously worked at the house before being removed from his job.
