Investigators believe the alleged attackers shifted their focus after repeatedly failing to find an opportunity to approach Khan, whose routine reportedly made him difficult to access.

The revelations have added a new dimension to the investigation into the firing incident involving Shroff, with police examining whether the alleged plan was connected to threats previously issued against Khan in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Shooters Allegedly Conducted Recce Near Aamir Khan’s Residence

According to police sources quoted by The Indian Express, two alleged shooters, identified as Phool Singh and Rehan Ansari, arrived in Mumbai from Haryana on September 20 and spent several weeks monitoring areas around the residences of prominent Bollywood personalities.

The report stated that the men visited the neighbourhood around Khan’s residence at least three times. They allegedly stayed at a lodge in Bandra East while attempting to assess the actor’s movements.

However, their surveillance reportedly failed to provide a suitable opportunity to approach him. According to investigators cited in the report, Khan was frequently away for film shoots or remained at home for extended periods without stepping outside.

These circumstances allegedly complicated the attackers’ plans, prompting them to consider another target.

Why Did the Alleged Shooters Turn to Tiger Shroff?

According to the investigation details reported by The Indian Express, the alleged shooters shifted their attention to Tiger Shroff towards the end of September.

Police sources said Shroff appeared more accessible because he regularly visited a park near Pushpa Narsee Park in Mumbai’s Juhu area to play football on Sundays.

The report stated that the accused subsequently moved their accommodation from Bandra to Andheri, bringing them closer to the area where Shroff reportedly played football.

On October 18, two men allegedly opened fire near Shroff’s vehicle in Juhu. The incident triggered a wider investigation into the accused, their alleged associates and the possible motives behind the attack.

Investigators are also examining whether the alleged attackers noticed Shroff’s movements while monitoring nearby areas. These details remain part of the ongoing investigation.

At the time, a social media post and an audio message circulated online featuring an individual claiming to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The messages allegedly objected to Khan’s marriage to Gauri Spratt and contained threats against the actor.

Mumbai Police initiated an investigation into the material and reviewed security arrangements around Khan’s residence. Authorities were examining the origin of the messages and the extent of any connection to the gang.

According to the reports, investigators suspect that the alleged plan involving Khan could be connected to the earlier threats. However, the precise motive behind the reported targeting remains under investigation.
