In a moment that quickly caught attention both inside Parliament and online, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen stepping out of his car and pausing for a brief yet engaged conversation with Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Saturday.

The two leaders exchanged a few words in a cordial manner, with visuals showing them standing close and interacting attentively before moving on to their respective engagements. The brief interaction stood out amid frequent political sparring between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress, offering a rare glimpse of informal communication at the top level.

The Prime Minister had arrived at Prerna Sthal within the Parliament complex to pay floral tributes to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his 200th birth anniversary. The occasion saw several senior leaders gather to honour Phule’s contributions to social justice, education and the upliftment of marginalised communities.

Among those present were Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, and former Rajya Sabha deputy chairman Harivansh, along with other dignitaries.

Images and videos of the Modi-Gandhi exchange quickly circulated on social media, drawing widespread attention. Many users remarked on the significance of the moment, noting that such interactions between the Prime Minister and the Leader of Opposition are rarely seen in public.
