Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that India no longer remains silent in the face of terror attacks but responds decisively through surgical and air strikes.

Addressing the NDTV World Summit 2025 in New Delhi, Modi said that while there are “roadblocks and speed breakers” ahead, India remains “unstoppable.”

“India no more remains silent after terror attacks but gives a befitting reply through air strikes, surgical strikes, and Operation Sindoor,” he said, according to PTI.

Highlighting India’s economic resilience, the prime minister noted, “When wars became global headlines, India proved naysayers wrong by continuing to march ahead as the fastest-growing economy.”

Reiterating the summit’s theme, Modi declared that India is not in a “mood to stop.” He added, “We will neither pause nor slow down. 140 crore Indians will move forward together with full momentum.”

He also pointed to India’s transformation over the past decade, saying, “India has moved from being among the fragile five to becoming one of the world’s top five economies. From chips to ships, India is self-reliant and confident in every sphere.”

Targeting the previous Congress governments, Modi accused them of distancing ordinary citizens from policy-making. “Unlike Congress, we worked towards democratising policies. This is the driving force behind Unstoppable Bharat,” he said.

“Congress distanced people from banks — poor people were scared to go there. When we took over, half the population didn’t even have bank accounts,” Modi added, referring to his government’s financial inclusion initiatives.
