Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Enjoy First Public Date Night Since Engagement at Arrowhead Stadium
Just days after announcing their engagement, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were spotted enjoying their first public outing as a couple at Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri, the site where their romance first began.
The newly engaged pair attended the football clash between University of Cincinnati and University of Nebraska on Thursday. It marked the first time the pop star wore her engagement ring in public since the announcement. Taylor arrived alongside Kansas City Chiefs WAG Brittany Mahomes, wearing a sweater vest, mini denim skirt, and knee-high white boots, and appeared ecstatic throughout the evening. Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, also joined them for the game.
Arrowhead Stadium holds special significance in their story. Travis first noticed Taylor’s Eras Tour on July 8, 2023, and attempted to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number. Their relationship made headlines when Taylor made a surprise appearance at the stadium on September 24, 2023, cheering on Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fans on social media gushed over Taylor’s stunning engagement ring, with many noting its sparkle from afar during the game. Jewelry expert Benjamin Khordipour described it as an antique cushion-cut diamond of over eight carats, F color, VS1 clarity, set in 18k yellow gold with hand-engraved details. ABC News reported the ring was designed by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry, New York City.
The couple shared their engagement on Instagram on Tuesday with photos from the garden proposal, captioning it: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Travis’ father, Ed Kelce, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that Travis proposed “maybe two weeks ago” and had considered creating a “grand special event” for the moment.
Taylor and Travis began dating in 2023 after the singer’s concert at Arrowhead Stadium, and their relationship has since captivated fans worldwide.
