Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship initiative Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) has earned global recognition, setting a new Guinness World Record for the “Most people registered on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month,” according to an official release on Monday.

The eighth edition of PPC, held in 2025, garnered a staggering 3.53 crore valid registrations on the MyGov platform, marking a milestone in citizen participation and digital engagement. The initiative, jointly organised by the Ministry of Education and MyGov since 2018, continues to evolve into a national movement that fosters stress-free, joyful learning during exam season.

A Festival of Learning

Pariksha Pe Charcha is a unique platform that allows Prime Minister Modi to interact directly with students, teachers, and parents, turning exams into a celebration of preparation and purpose rather than pressure and stress.

The Guinness World Record certificate was officially presented during a ceremony in New Delhi. The event was attended by:

  • Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Education Minister

  • Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Electronics & IT, Railways, and I&B

  • Jitin Prasada, Union MoS for Electronics and IT

  • Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy

  • Nand Kumarum, CEO, MyGov

  • Senior officials and stakeholders from the Ministries of Education and Electronics & IT

The award was validated and announced by Rishi Nath, an official adjudicator from Guinness World Records.

Leaders Speak

Speaking at the event, Dharmendra Pradhan said PPC has redefined the way India approaches examinations, thanks to the visionary leadership of PM Modi. He noted that PPC 2025 reached over 21 crore viewers across all media platforms, reflecting a nationwide commitment to holistic education and the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

Ashwini Vaishnaw called PPC a “unique initiative” that encourages student well-being and stress-free learning. He emphasized that the record reflects the public’s deep trust in the programme and its impact on the lives of young learners.

Jitin Prasada lauded MyGov’s role in making governance more participatory and digital-first. He credited the platform’s tech-driven outreach for PPC’s massive reach and engagement.

A New Era in Education

Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, PPC encourages experiential learning and critical thinking, moving away from rote memorization. PM Modi’s interactions offer practical solutions for common student challenges like time management, digital distractions, emotional health, and exam anxiety.

With its growing digital footprint, inclusive approach, and inspiring message that “exams are not the end but a new beginning,” Pariksha Pe Charcha continues to stand as a cornerstone of student engagement and educational reform in India.

The success of PPC 2025 is seen as a collective national achievement, and ministers praised all contributors—students, parents, teachers, institutions, and citizens—who made the record-breaking participation possible.
