Authors Twinkle Khanna and actor Kajol have addressed the criticism sparked by their candid views on marriage and relationships on their talk show Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle. The duo clarified that their comments were meant in jest and admitted the show should have carried a disclaimer from the start.

In a newly released bonus episode—shot after the original episodes began streaming—Kajol acknowledged the reactions their discussions triggered. “Now it’s time for our next segment, which has gotten us into a lot of trouble,” she said, adding that the segment was intended for “lighthearted teasing.”

Twinkle echoed the sentiment, saying, “We should have had a disclaimer from the first episode… nothing we say in this segment should be taken seriously. Please don’t follow any of our advice.”

The show attracted intense debate after episodes featuring Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon, where Kajol remarked that marriages should come with an “expiry date” and an option for renewal. Another episode with Janhvi Kapoor and Karan Johar stirred controversy when Kajol and Twinkle suggested that physical infidelity was “not a deal breaker,” contrasting sharply with Janhvi’s view.

Twinkle added, “We’re in our 50s, she’s in her 20s… she hasn’t seen the things we have seen. Raat gayi baat gayi.

The bonus episode featured cricketers Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma.

Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle debuted with Salman Khan and Aamir Khan and went on to host celebrities including Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, and Janhvi Kapoor. The show is available on Prime Video.
