Trump Sues New York Times for $15 Billion, Calls It ‘Degenerate Mouthpiece for Radical Left’
US President Donald Trump has announced a $15 billion defamation lawsuit against The New York Times, accusing it of decades of lies and branding it “the worst and most degenerate newspaper in American history.”
In a fiery Truth Social post, Trump blasted the paper for endorsing Kamala Harris in 2024 and acting as a “mouthpiece for the radical left Democrat Party.” He claimed the lawsuit was the “single largest illegal campaign contribution ever,” citing the Times’ coverage of him, his family, and the MAGA movement.
Trump also compared the case to other media disputes he said had been settled in his favor, including those with ABC, Disney, and CBS.
The lawsuit follows a September 10 report in the New York Times detailing Trump’s alleged sexually suggestive notes to Jeffrey Epstein—claims the White House has dismissed as fabrications.
