Tejashwi Yadav Calls Bihar a “Time Bomb” of Corruption and Unemployment, Slams Nitish Government

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday accused the Bihar government of sitting on a “time bomb” of corruption and unemployment, claiming that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s administration would be unable to fulfil its election promises without straining the exchequer to the tune of ₹7 lakh crore.

Speaking to reporters, Yadav said the government’s recent announcements were mere imitations of proposals he had made earlier, asserting that the opposition has a backup plan to outmaneuver the ruling NDA.

“They have announced so many sops in view of the upcoming polls. It would cost the exchequer a staggering ₹7 lakh crore. They do not have enough revenue to fulfil the promises,” he said.

Targeting both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Yadav warned that Bihar is grappling with the twin challenges of corruption and unemployment.

Reacting to Yadav’s remarks, JD(U) working president Sanjay Jha defended the government’s record, saying,

“Tejashwi will not understand the big strides Bihar has made from where RJD had left since 2005 and how women of the state are now ready to give a boost to the rural economy. Tejashwi is free to do wishful thinking, but the people are not going to look beyond CM Nitish Kumar.”
