Tamannaah on her acting journey

In an interview with Filmfare, the actor reflected on her early years in cinema and how her perspective on career and life evolved. “When I started out, I had a 10-year plan. I thought I’d work till my thirties and then get married and have kids,” she said.

However, she added that things changed as she matured both personally and professionally. “While I was working and reached my late twenties, I really came into my own. Fortunately, by then, the industry had started writing more layered and interesting parts for women in this age group. It’s a global shift,” she explained.

Tamannaah also questioned society’s fear of ageing. “I don’t know why people talk about ageing like it’s some disease. Ageing is so awesome, but people seem terrified of it,” she said.

Upcoming projects

Tamannaah will next appear alongside Shahid Kapoor in Vishal Bhardwaj’s gritty gangster drama O’ Romeo, expected to release in late 2025 or early 2026. The film also stars Triptii Dimri.

She is also set to star opposite Sidharth Malhotra in Vvan — Force of the Forest, a mythological folk thriller produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and TVF, slated to begin filming in June 2025.

In addition, Tamannaah is reportedly playing the wife of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria in an upcoming Rohit Shetty Cop Universe film and is rumoured to join Anees Bazmee’s comedy sequel No Entry 2, starring Varun Dhawan.
