Suicide Blast in Northwest Pakistan Kills 13 Soldiers, Injures 29 Including Civilians
A suicide attack in Pakistan’s North Waziristan district on Saturday claimed the lives of 13 soldiers and injured 29 others, including civilians, local officials and police told AFP.
According to a government official who spoke on condition of anonymity, a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a military convoy. The blast killed 13 soldiers, wounded 10 more, and left 19 civilians injured.
A police officer in the district added that the explosion caused the roofs of two nearby houses to collapse, injuring six children.
