Shots Fired Outside Rohit Shetty’s Mumbai Home, Security Tightened
Unidentified assailants fired four rounds outside the Mumbai residence of Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty early Sunday, prompting heightened security in the area, police said.
The incident occurred around 12:43 am outside Shetty’s home in Juhu. No injuries were reported. Following the firing, Mumbai Police deployed additional personnel around the premises as a precaution.
Officials said multiple teams are investigating the case and examining various angles to identify those responsible. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, according to police.
Police and forensic teams have been deployed at the site to collect evidence and trace the assailants. Video footage circulating on social media shows a heavy police presence, including barricades, patrol vehicles and officers stationed outside the building.
Shetty and his family have not issued any statement so far.
The incident has renewed concerns over the security of Bollywood personalities. In recent years, similar cases — including multiple firing incidents outside actor Salman Khan’s residence, allegedly linked to the Bishnoi gang — have raised alarm.
Police are investigating whether the firing was intended as a threat or connected to any other motive. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
