Sensex up 150 pts, Nifty tests 25k; IT, FMCG lead; Nazara down 6%, Ola up 12%

Indian benchmark indices traded with mild gains on Wednesday, extending their four-day gains amid a slew of positive triggers.

The benchmark BSE Sensex index was quoted trading at around 81,730, higher by 86 points or 0.11 per cent, while the NSE Nifty50 index was at 24,994, up 14 points or 0.06 per cent.

Infosys, NTPC, Tata Steel, Hindustan Unilever, and Eternal were leading the gains among the Sensex constituent stocks. On the flipside, Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors, BEL, Trent and Bajaj Finserv were the laggards.

Among the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap100 and Smallcap100 indices were trading 0.34 per cent and 0.2 per cent higher, respectively.

Sectoral indices traded mixed, with Nifty IT and FMCG leading gains, while Pharma and Financials were under pressure.

IPO News Today

Mainboard IPOs of Patel Retail, Vikram Solar, Gem Aromatics, and Shreeji Shipping Global will enter their second day of subscription., while Mangal Electrical Industries IPO will open for bidding. Regaal Resources, on the other hand, will list on the exchanges today.

In the SME space, Studio LSD IPO will close for subscription, and LGT Business Connextions will enter its second day of bidding.
