Resurfaced 2006 Howard Stern Clip Shows Trump Appearing to Agree After Being Called a ‘Sexual Predator’

An old video from a 2006 appearance on The Howard Stern Show featuring Donald Trump, his daughter Ivanka Trump, and others has resurfaced online — drawing widespread backlash over an exchange in which Trump seemingly mouths the words “it’s true” or “that’s true” after being jokingly called a “sexual predator.”

The clip is gaining attention amid renewed scrutiny of Trump’s past associations, particularly in relation to Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender with whom Trump once maintained social ties.

Video Confirmed as Authentic

As the clip circulated widely, some social media users questioned whether it had been altered or deepfaked. However, fact-checking outlet Snopes has confirmed the video’s authenticity, stating that there is no evidence of AI manipulation or editing. The footage comes from Trump’s February 27, 2006 appearance on The Howard Stern Show to promote Season 5 of The Apprentice.

The Controversial Exchange

During the segment, Stern questioned Ivanka — then 24 — about her relationship with film producer James “Bingo” Gubelmann. The conversation soon veered into highly inappropriate territory, with Stern asking Ivanka if she had “given into” Gubelmann sexually. Ivanka responded, “Of course not, Howard.”

Stern pressed further: “You’re still a virgin, I assume?” to which she again replied, “Of course.”

He then turned to Trump, asking: “Donald, do you ever discuss sex with your daughter?” Trump responded that he did not. As the discussion became increasingly uncomfortable, Ivanka attempted to steer it away, saying, “And I have a feeling we’re not going to here.”

Then came the moment in question. After Stern made a comment about sexual predators, co-host Robin Quivers interjected, saying:

“You are one!”

The room erupted in laughter. Stern chuckled and added, “All right, I wasn’t going to say that, but uh…”
At that moment, Trump appeared to mouth “It’s true” or “That’s true” while glancing toward Ivanka.

Stern repeated what Trump seemed to say: “It’s true.”
Quivers and others in the studio laughed, while someone off-camera said, “Oh my God.”

The conversation soon moved on, but the clip has resurfaced to widespread criticism and condemnation online.

Public Reaction: “Sick,” “Despicable”

Social media users were outraged by the content and tone of the exchange, particularly Trump’s reaction and Ivanka’s seemingly amused response.

“Sick! There is no other word for this!” one user commented.
“Ivanka laughing and patting his back over this admission. It is normalized,” another wrote.
“I’d be mortified,” one person posted.
Another said simply: “Despicable.”

The video adds to a long list of past controversial comments Trump has made on The Howard Stern Show, which frequently featured sexually charged and provocative discussions. While defenders often dismiss these moments as “jokes” or “entertainment,” critics argue that such exchanges point to deeper issues of character and judgment—particularly from someone who later became President of the United States.
