The highly anticipated mythological drama Ramayana: Part I, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is taking a cautious promotional approach. The film, which stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, and Sai Pallavi as Sita, has postponed its teaser release that was initially expected this month. Instead, the producers will unveil the film’s official logo digitally as a soft-launch strategy.
This decision has surprised many fans who were expecting a visual glimpse into the epic adaptation. However, insiders close to the production said that the teaser, although complete, will be held back until the promotional campaign gains momentum closer to its scheduled Diwali 2026 release.
The film is touted to be one of the most ambitious mythological projects in Indian cinema history, with a massive budget and state-of-the-art VFX. Tiwari, known for his directorial brilliance in Dangal and Chhichhore, has spent the past two years working on the script and previsualization.
Production is currently underway, with major sequences being filmed on green-screen sets in Hyderabad and Mumbai. The film is expected to be a trilogy, covering the entire Ramayana epic in three cinematic parts.
The logo launch this July will mark the beginning of a long-tail marketing campaign that includes motion posters, character reveals, and behind-the-scenes footage. The goal is to sustain public interest over the next year while maintaining tight secrecy around the storyline and visual effects.
Expectations are high, and the production team is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that Ramayana: Part I lives up to its cultural and cinematic legacy.
