Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with members of the all-party delegations who participated in the global outreach program for Operation Sindoor on Tuesday. The meeting took place at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg and included prominent figures such as Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, JD(U)’s Sanjay Jha, and other key representatives.

The outreach effort followed the launch of Operation Sindoor, with the Indian government announcing a total of seven all-party delegations, led by members from both the ruling NDA alliance and the opposition INDIA bloc.

Key leaders, including BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad, Baijyant Panda, Congress’ Shashi Tharoor, JD(U)’s Sanjay Jha, Shiv Sena’s Shrikant Shinde, DMK’s Kanimozhi, and NCP’s Supriya Sule, headed the delegations to various global destinations to advocate India’s policy on zero tolerance for terrorism.

“Met members of the various delegations who represented India in different countries and elaborated on India’s commitment to peace and the need to eradicate the menace of terrorism. We are all proud of the manner in which they put forward India’s voice,” Modi shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Before the Prime Minister’s meeting, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar had already engaged with the delegations after their return to India.

Delegations Reach 33 Countries, Representing India’s Anti-Terrorism Stance

The seven delegations, which included over 50 participants—ranging from current MPs to former parliamentarians and ex-diplomats—visited 33 countries and the European Union. Their mission was to clearly articulate India’s stance on terrorism and the country’s commitment to peace.

The countries visited included Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Algeria, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, UAE, Liberia, Congo, Sierra Leone, the United States, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, Russia, Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, South Africa, and the European Union.

The delegations were formed after Operation Sindoor, a military strike against terror bases in Pakistan, which followed the Pahalgam attack. The operation heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, leading to a military standoff. The conflict saw drone and missile strikes across the border towns near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as along the international border.
