‘PM Modi Will Dance for Votes’: Rahul Gandhi’s Scathing Attack in Bihar, BJP Fires Back

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Mahagathbandhan election rally in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, accusing him of being willing to “do anything for votes.”

Addressing the crowd alongside opposition leaders, including the alliance’s chief ministerial face Tejashwi Yadav, Gandhi said, “If you tell Modi ji to do drama for votes, he will do it. If you tell him you’ll vote for him if he dances on stage, he will dance. He can do anything for votes.”

Taking aim at the NDA government in Bihar, Gandhi claimed that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is merely a “face” of the administration, while the “remote control” remains in the hands of the BJP.

“I agree with Tejashwi Yadav — the government in Bihar is being run by remote control. They’re using Nitish Kumar’s face, but three or four people actually control it. The BJP has the remote, and they have nothing to do with social justice,” Gandhi said.

He also reiterated his demand for a nationwide caste census, accusing the BJP of opposing social justice. “I said it in front of the Prime Minister in Parliament — get the caste census done. He didn’t utter a single word,” Gandhi added.

BJP Hits Back

Gandhi’s comments drew sharp reactions from BJP leaders. Party spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari accused him of insulting voters, writing on X: “Rahul Gandhi speaks like a local goon. He has openly insulted every poor person of India and Bihar who has voted for PM Modi. Rahul Gandhi has mocked Indian voters and democracy.”

Union Minister Giriraj Singh also took a swipe at the Congress MP, saying, “The habit of dancing runs in Rahul Gandhi’s family. The people of Bihar will give him a befitting reply. He was himself seen dancing on a motorcycle — he knows with whom.”

Gandhi’s fiery remarks come as the BJP has recently mocked him for being “missing” from the campaign trail. Earlier in the day, BJP leader Amit Malviya shared a post on X featuring a poster that described the Congress leader as “missing for 59 days.”

The Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results to be announced on November 14.
