Dear fellow citizen,

I extend my heartfelt greetings to all of you on the auspicious occasion of Deepavali, a festival filled with energy and enthusiasm. This is the second Deepavali after the grand construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Lord Shri Ram teaches us to uphold righteousness and gives us the courage to fight injustice. We saw a living example of this recently during Operation Sindoor, where Bharat not only upheld righteousness but also avenged injustice.

This Deepavali is particularly special because, for the first time, lamps will be lit in many districts across the country, including remote areas, where Naxalism and Maoist terrorism have been eradicated. Many individuals have left the path of violence, joined the mainstream of development, and expressed faith in our Constitution. This is a major national achievement.

Amid these historic achievements, the country has also implemented next-generation reforms. On the first day of Navratri, lower GST rates came into effect, helping citizens save thousands of crores of rupees during the “GST Bachat Utsav” (Savings Festival).

In a world facing multiple crises, Bharat has emerged as a symbol of both stability and sensitivity and is on track to become the third-largest economy soon.

In this journey toward a Viksit and Aatmanirbhar Bharat, our primary responsibility as citizens is to fulfill our duties toward the nation. Let us:

  • Adopt Swadeshi products and proudly say: “This is Swadeshi!”

  • Promote the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” and respect all languages

  • Maintain cleanliness and prioritize health

  • Reduce oil consumption by 10% and embrace Yoga

Deepavali teaches that when one lamp lights another, its light does not diminish but grows further. Similarly, let us light lamps of harmony, cooperation, and positivity in our society this Deepavali.

Wishing you all a very Happy Deepavali.
