Piyush Goyal Highlights India-Singapore Business Collaboration to Boost Trade and Investment
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Saturday that greater collaboration between Indian and Singaporean businesses will strengthen trade and investment ties between the two countries.
Speaking at the India-Singapore@60: Partnership for Growth and Innovation business event, Goyal emphasised building a more balanced, inclusive, and future-ready economic partnership. The minister is on a three-day visit to Singapore.
“Highlighted greater collaboration and B2B opportunities between our businesses,” he tweeted.
Key Meetings
On the sidelines, Goyal met senior officials of Singapore-based firms to explore investment and collaboration opportunities:

Sembcorp: Goyal met Kim Yin Wong, Group President and CEO, to discuss India’s achievements in renewable energy and potential partnerships in clean energy, green hydrogen, and industrial parks.

Keppel: In a meeting with CEO Loh Chin Hua, discussions focused on emerging opportunities in waste-to-energy, infrastructure, data centres, and digital connectivity.

Nomura Asia Pacific Holdings: Goyal met a delegation led by CEO Nags Sankaranarayanan, exploring avenues to boost India-focused investments and global investor engagement.

Blackstone Singapore: A meeting with Chairman Gautam Banerjee covered opportunities for long-term capital in manufacturing-linked infrastructure to strengthen supply chains.

Texas Pacific Group (TPG): Discussions with Executive Chairman Jim Coulter focused on cross-border investments and unlocking new growth prospects for both nations.
