Pentagon Reaffirms Plan to Scale Back Military Mission in Iraq
The Pentagon on Tuesday reiterated its commitment to reduce the US military mission in Iraq, in line with an agreement reached last year.

It said the transition of US-led coalition operations reflects the success achieved against Daesh militants.
“The US government will continue close coordination with the government of Iraq and coalition members to ensure a responsible transition,” the Pentagon said in a statement.
