‘Pakistan Army Invites Me’: Lashkar Terrorist Saifullah Kasuri Admits Links, Report Says

A globally designated terrorist, Kasuri is a close aide of Hafeez Saeed, the founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and is believed to be among the key masterminds behind the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir that killed 26 people.

Following the attack, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, a coordinated tri-services military operation involving the Army, Navy and Air Force. As part of the strikes, nine terror camps located across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) were targeted, Indian officials said.

Pakistan retaliated soon after the strikes, escalating tensions into a four-day military confrontation between the two nuclear-armed neighbours. The hostilities eventually ended on May 10 after both sides agreed to a “ceasefire understanding.”

The episode marked one of the most serious military escalations between India and Pakistan in recent years, underscoring the continued volatility of the region amid cross-border terrorism concerns.
