Saudi authorities arrested 13,532 individuals within a week for violating residency, labor, and border security laws, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.

Of the total, 7,903 people were detained for residency-related offenses, 3,744 for attempting illegal border crossings, and 1,885 for labor law violations.

Among those caught trying to enter the Kingdom illegally, 67% were Ethiopian nationals, 31% were Yemeni, and the remaining 2% belonged to other nationalities. Additionally, 34 individuals were apprehended while attempting to cross into neighboring countries, and 17 were arrested for aiding or sheltering violators.

The Ministry of Interior reiterated that anyone found facilitating illegal entry into Saudi Arabia—including providing transport or accommodation—faces up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to SR1 million ($267,000), and possible confiscation of vehicles and property.

Citizens and residents can report suspected violations via the toll-free number 911 in Makkah and Riyadh, or 999 and 996 in other regions.
