Nitish Kumar’s New Cabinet: Full List of Bihar Ministers and Their Portfolios
Bihar’s new cabinet was officially announced on Friday, with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar assigning key portfolios to NDA leaders a day after taking oath for a record tenth term. Kumar retained the General Administration, Cabinet Secretariat, Vigilance, and all unallocated departments.
Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Samrat Choudhary has been given charge of the crucial Home Department, while fellow Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha will oversee Revenue & Land Reforms along with Mines & Geology.
Kumar, along with his two deputies, was sworn in on Thursday at a ceremony in Patna’s historic Gandhi Maidan. Twenty-four additional ministers—eight from JD(U), 14 from the BJP, two from the LJP (Ram Vilas), and one each from HAM (Secular) and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha—also took oath.
