Mahayuti Names Ritu Tawde as Mumbai Mayor Candidate, Sanjay Ghadi for Deputy Mayor Post

The ruling Mahayuti alliance has nominated BJP leader Ritu Tawde as its candidate for the post of Mumbai mayor. Tawde is currently the corporator from Ward 132 in Ghatkopar.

At the same time, Shiv Sena has fielded Sanjay Shankar Ghadi for the post of deputy mayor. Ghadi represents the Magathane ward as a corporator.

The nominations reflect seat-sharing arrangements within the Mahayuti alliance ahead of the mayoral elections in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Party leaders said the alliance is confident of securing both key civic posts, given its numerical strength in the municipal body.
