Bollywood actors Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat, who tied the knot in an intimate yet grand ceremony on March 16, 2024, recently opened up about their life after marriage and their belief in live-in relationships.

In a conversation with filmmaker Karan Johar on the Manyavar Shaadi show, the couple spoke candidly about companionship, marriage, and the importance of sharing space before tying the knot.

When asked about married life, Pulkit described it as fulfilling. “It’s beautiful. More than married life, I think we are best friends and best roommates. That’s what keeps the relationship alive,” he said. Kriti echoed the sentiment, adding, “I fully recommend marriage, 100 per cent. I truly believe that when you find love, you must do everything to keep it in your life.”

Karan Johar then recalled his own experience of sharing close quarters with friends during a yacht trip, saying it made him realise how challenging it can be to share personal space. Responding to this, Pulkit revealed that the couple strongly believes in living together before marriage. “Because of that, both of us are big advocates of living together before deciding to get married. We were in a live-in relationship for two years,” he said.

Kriti added that while they spent significant time together during the Covid-19 pandemic, they officially moved in together only later. “Post Covid, we found a home that wasn’t his or mine, but ours, and we built that home together,” she said.

Kriti and Pulkit dated for a brief period before getting married at ITC Grand Bharat in Delhi NCR. Sharing pictures from their wedding, the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post, “From the deep blue sky, to the morning dew… when my heart beats different, it’s got to be you.”

On the work front, Kriti was last seen in the web series Rana Naidu, which received a positive response and is streaming on Netflix. She will next be seen in Abir Sengupta’s Risky Romeo, co-starring Sunny Singh and Monica Chaudhary. The film is currently in post-production.

Pulkit Samrat will next appear in Rahu Ketu, directed by Vipul Vig. The film also stars Varun Sharma and Shalini Pandey and is slated for a theatrical release on January 16, 2026.
