Comedians Kevin Hart and supermodel Heidi Klum faced backlash from fans after co-hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026 Draw at the Kennedy Center. Social media users mocked the pair for their on-stage antics, calling the hosting “cringeworthy” and highlighting a lack of chemistry between the two.

The draw placed Mexico, Canada, and the USA into Groups A, B, and D, while defending champions Argentina were drawn into Group J alongside Algeria, Austria, and Jordan. Brazil ended up in Group C with Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland, and Spain joined Group H with Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay.

Fans took to X to share their reactions. One wrote, “Kevin Hart and Heidi Klum hosting the World Cup draw in the Kennedy Centre is a newly discovered level of cringe.” Another commented, “I am enjoying the sheer lack of chemistry Kevin Hart and Heidi Klum have. Oh good, here is Rio Ferdinand.”

The event also featured high-profile football legends and celebrities. Rio Ferdinand served as the draw conductor, and Donald Trump received FIFA’s first-ever Peace Prize. After accepting the award, Trump praised the coordination among the host nations, stating, “We’ve worked closely with those two countries, and the coordination and friendship and relationship has been outstanding.”

FIFA President Gianni Infantino highlighted the scale of the upcoming tournament, calling it “the greatest World Cup ever” and “the greatest event that humanity has ever seen.” He noted that the tournament would feature 16 host cities, 48 teams, and 104 matches, likening the magnitude to “104 Super Bowls in one month.”

Despite the star-studded line-up and historic draw, much of the fan attention remained fixed on Hart and Klum’s hosting performance, which many found awkward and uncomfortable.
