In the latest episode of tensions between governors and state governments, Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot walked out of the state assembly on Thursday after reading just two lines of his prepared address.

Officials said Gehlot was reportedly displeased with the “11 paragraphs” drafted by the state government, which allegedly included critical references to the Centre and its policies. He entered the legislature, read the opening two lines, and then concluded his address abruptly.
