Kangana, Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh Lead Tributes After Ajit Pawar’s Tragic Death

In a tragic incident, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar died after the aircraft he was travelling in crash-landed near Baramati on Wednesday, killing all five people on board. The news sent shockwaves across the country, with members of the film industry expressing deep grief and offering condolences.

Several celebrities took to social media to mourn the leader’s untimely demise.

Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut said she was unaware of the incident until photographers outside Parliament informed her. Videos of her emotional reaction have since gone viral.

“Oh my god… this is such horrible news. There are not enough words to express… I will give a proper statement later after aligning my emotions,” Kangana said.

Ajay Devgn expressed his sorrow on X, writing, “Shocked and saddened by the tragic passing of Hon. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar ji. My heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones and all those affected by this immense loss. Om Shanti.”

Riteish Deshmukh described Pawar’s death as an irreplaceable loss. Sharing pictures, he wrote, “Deeply shocked and terribly heartbroken to learn that we have lost Ajit Dada in a tragic accident. One of Maharashtra’s most dynamic leaders, he constantly inspired those around him to excel. His untimely demise leaves behind a huge void.”

He also extended condolences to the Pawar family and supporters.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan also paid tribute, calling Pawar a dedicated public servant whose contributions to Maharashtra would always be remembered.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher wrote, “Deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic passing of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar dada. Whenever I met him, he was gentle and kind. My thoughts are with his family. Om Shanti.”

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar termed the loss “irreparable” and expressed solidarity with Pawar’s family during the difficult time.

Ajit Pawar Dies in Baramati Plane Crash

Ajit Pawar died on January 28 after a Learjet 45 aircraft crashed while attempting to land in Baramati. He was travelling from Mumbai along with his personal security officer and an attendant to attend public meetings ahead of the Zilla Parishad polls.

His brother, Shriniwas Pawar, confirmed that no one survived the crash. He added that his son Yugendra is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Baramati and that the last rites will be performed there.

Ajit Pawar is survived by his wife Sunetra, a Rajya Sabha member, and his sons Parth and Jay.
