Jyoti Singh Accuses Bhojpuri Actor Pawan Singh of Abuse, Allegedly Administering Abortion Pills
Jyoti Singh, wife of Bhojpuri singer-actor Pawan Singh, has made serious allegations against him, claiming he administered abortion pills and subjected her to torture. She spoke out during a press conference, as reported by India Today.
Jyoti Singh’s Allegations
Jyoti questioned Pawan Singh’s intentions regarding having a child. “He’s saying he yearned for a child, but a person who yearns for a child doesn’t give his wife medication. I was given medication repeatedly. I hadn’t revealed many things to the media, but today, Pawan Ji forced me to. I’m not defaming him; I’m just presenting my side,” she said.
She further claimed that when she resisted the medication, she was tortured to the extent that she took 25 sleeping pills at 2 a.m. Jyoti said that Pawan’s brother Ranu and a team member, Deepak, were present and took her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, where she received treatment. “He used to give me abortion pills,” she added.
Pawan Singh Responds
Pawan Singh, a newly reinstated BJP member, denied the allegations, suggesting that Jyoti’s statements were politically motivated. Speaking to ANI, he said:
“Our case has been going on in the court for the last 3-4 years… Why did you (Jyoti Singh) show affection only today? What kind of affection is this? We can only call it politics that you want to trouble me.”
He added that the police were present at his residence only to maintain law and order and claimed that Jyoti had created a public dispute to further her own ambitions.
Ongoing Divorce Case
The controversy comes amid the couple’s ongoing divorce proceedings, which have been in court for the past 3–4 years. Pawan Singh maintained that Jyoti’s recent public display of affection and accusations were tactics to gain attention.
The situation has intensified public scrutiny of the couple’s personal life, with both sides presenting contrasting narratives amid legal proceedings.
