Israel Orders 300,000 to Evacuate Tehran as Trump Issues Ominous Warning

Israel intensified its aerial assault on Tehran for a fourth straight day, warning hundreds of thousands of residents in central Tehran to evacuate amid escalating conflict. The air campaign, which Israeli officials claim has severely damaged Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, marks a dramatic expansion in the regional confrontation.

The strikes have triggered widespread chaos and devastation in the Iranian capital, including a direct hit on the headquarters of Iran’s state-run television network. A live broadcast was abruptly halted as explosions rocked the building, forcing an anchor to flee on air. The station later confirmed that four bombs had hit its compound, injuring multiple staff.

Trump Calls for Tehran Evacuation

As scenes of destruction unfolded in Tehran, U.S. President Donald Trump posted an alarming message on his social media platform:

“IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced shortly afterward that Trump would leave the G7 summit in Canada early due to the deteriorating security situation.

Netanyahu: Strikes Have Crippled Iran’s Nuclear Program

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday the military strikes had set back Iran’s nuclear program by a “very, very long time.” He claimed Iran’s leadership was growing weaker and confirmed daily coordination with President Trump.

Israel says its operations have targeted uranium enrichment sites, key military leaders, and nuclear scientists. At least 224 people have been killed in Iran since Friday, according to Israeli figures. Iran disputes the casualty count and maintains that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.

Though the U.S. and international watchdogs agree Iran hasn’t had a structured nuclear weapons program since 2003, the International Atomic Energy Agency has warned that Iran possesses enough enriched uranium to build several nuclear weapons if it chooses to.

Iran Retaliates with Heavy Missile Barrage

In response, Iran has launched more than 370 missiles and hundreds of drones at Israel, killing 24 and wounding over 500. Iranian attacks have struck multiple Israeli cities and key infrastructure, heightening fears of full-scale war between the two adversaries.

One missile landed near the U.S. consulate in Tel Aviv. Ambassador Mike Huckabee confirmed minor damage but said no American personnel were injured.

Mass Evacuation Warning in Tehran

On Monday, Israel’s military issued evacuation warnings to approximately 330,000 residents of central Tehran. The area includes the state broadcaster, the national police headquarters, and three major hospitals—one operated by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The Israeli military said it had destroyed over 120 surface-to-surface missile launchers, two Iranian F-14 fighter jets, and ten Quds Force command centers in Tehran.

“We have achieved full aerial superiority over Tehran’s skies,” said Israeli military spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin. He called the strikes a “deep and comprehensive blow to the Iranian threat.”

Explosions in Israeli Cities

The conflict has taken a toll on Israeli cities as well. In Petah Tikva, an Iranian missile struck a residential building, tearing apart multiple apartments. In Haifa, an oil refinery was hit for the second consecutive night, killing three workers who were trapped when the facility’s stairwell collapsed.

In Tel Aviv, powerful explosions early Monday sent thick black smoke over the skyline.

Signs of Diplomatic Overtures

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi appeared to signal openness to diplomacy in a post on X (formerly Twitter), writing:

“If Trump is genuine about diplomacy and interested in stopping this war, next steps are consequential. It takes one phone call from Washington to muzzle someone like Netanyahu.”

Araghchi stated Sunday that Iran would halt its missile strikes if Israel ceased its attacks. However, planned talks between the U.S. and Iran were abruptly canceled over the weekend following Israeli strikes on senior Iranian officials.

Regional Fallout and Growing Civilian Toll

The broader region is reeling from the fallout. Airspace closures have grounded flights across the Middle East, stranding tens of thousands of passengers. Iranian health officials report over 1,277 injuries, and the country is experiencing fuel rationing.

Human rights groups suggest the Iranian government is underreporting casualties. The Washington-based Human Rights Activists group says it has verified over 400 deaths, including 197 civilians.

Meanwhile, Iranian authorities have arrested multiple people suspected of espionage and executed at least one individual. Reports indicate that prior to the strikes, Israel’s Mossad had positioned explosive drones and precision-guided weapons inside Iran.
