Iran–US Tensions LIVE Updates: Trump Says He ‘Would Rather Have a Deal’ but Warns of “Very Bad Day” for Iran

India on Monday advised its citizens in Iran to leave the country using available transport options, citing an “evolving situation” widely seen as linked to rising tensions between Tehran and United States.

Amid the uncertainty, reports in Iranian media said residents received an anonymous text message stating, “The US president is a man of action. Wait and see,” adding to public speculation over the standoff.

Despite the tensions, both Washington and Tehran have repeatedly signalled a preference for diplomacy. The next round of nuclear talks between the two sides is scheduled to take place in Geneva later this week.

Separately, Donald Trump dismissed media reports suggesting that Daniel Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, had cautioned against military action on Iran. Trump called the claims “100% incorrect,” stating that while Caine would prefer to avoid war, he believed any conflict, if necessary, could be “easily won.”

In the same remarks, Trump reiterated his warning to Iran, saying he favoured a negotiated deal but cautioned that failure to reach one would have serious consequences.
