Iran Military Vows ‘More Severe’ Reprisals If US Attacks Continue
Iran’s military on Saturday warned that it would launch “more severe” retaliatory attacks against US naval vessels in the region if Washington continued striking Iranian ships, hours after the US Central Command said it had destroyed three Iranian tankers.
The Khatam Al-Anbiya central command said the US military would face stronger retaliation if it continued what Iran described as attacks, harassment of Iranian vessels and a naval blockade.
“The strikes by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran against US military vessels in the region will be more severe than before,” the command said, warning that the attacks could also expand if Washington’s actions continued.
