Sidharth Malhotra’s heartfelt birthday post for wife Kiara Advani has sparked support from fans after trolls flooded the comments with remarks about Kiara’s intimate scenes in the recently released song Tabaahi from Yash’s upcoming film Toxic.

As Kiara celebrated her 33rd birthday on Friday, Sidharth shared an unseen picture of the actor enjoying an ice cream and captioned it, “Happy birthday to the one who makes every day a little sweeter… even when she’s stealing my ice cream.”

While many wished Kiara well, some users mocked Sidharth for supporting his wife despite her romantic scenes in Toxic. Others posted screenshots and GIFs from the song, prompting widespread criticism from fans.

A Reddit discussion claiming Sidharth had restricted comments on Instagram gained traction, although his comments remain open. Many users defended the couple, calling out the misogynistic nature of the trolling.

Several commenters also highlighted the double standards in the criticism, pointing out that male actors are rarely targeted for performing intimate scenes, while female actors often face disproportionate backlash. Others questioned why Yash, who stars opposite Kiara in Toxic, was not subjected to similar criticism.

Directed by Geethu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups marks Yash’s return to the big screen after the KGF franchise. The film also stars Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi, and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26.
