Infosys, HCL Tech, TCS lift Sensex 400 pts; Lenskart off day’s low

Indian stock markets were holding gains on Monday, tracking firm global cues. The BSE Sensex index was trading at 83,544, rising 328 points or 0.39 per cent, and the Nifty50 index quoted at 25,593, gaining 100 points or 0.39 per cent.

Asian Paints, Infosys, Bharat Electronics (BEL), Reliance Industries (RIL), L&T, Titan Company, Tata Motors PV, and ITC were the top Sensex gainers today, rising up to 1.5 per cent.

On the flipside, Trent, Power Grid, M&M, Eternal, NTPC, and Maruti Suzuki were the top losers, down in the range of 0.6 per cent to 6 per cent.

In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap index added 0.46 per cent, and the Nifty SmallCap index 0.44 per cent.

Among sectors, all the indices were edging higher led by the Nifty IT, and Nifty Pharma indices, up 0.9 per cent each.
