Indian Embassy in Doha says 1,100 Indians flew home on Qatar Airways flights yesterday
The Embassy of India in Qatar said around 1,100 Indian passengers travelled to New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi and other destinations on Qatar Airways flights on Monday.
In an advisory, the embassy said more flights to these destinations are scheduled for Tuesday. From March 18, Qatar Airways will operate services to several Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kozhikode and Mumbai.
Passengers have been advised to book tickets and check updates via the airline’s website or app, or through travel agents. The embassy also said it will soon close the registration link for transit and short-term visitors seeking to return to India on these flights, urging travellers to coordinate directly with the airline for further arrangements.
Additionally, the embassy reiterated that it will continue facilitating temporary transit visas for Saudi Arabia for Indian nationals stranded in Qatar on short-term visits who wish to travel back to India via Saudi Arabia.
