Indian Diaspora Welcomes PM Modi’s Ghana Visit, Hails Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic visit to Ghana has sparked enthusiastic celebrations among the Indian diaspora and is being hailed as a significant milestone in the growing partnership between India and the West African nation. This is Modi’s first-ever visit to Ghana as Prime Minister and is part of a broader African outreach strategy aimed at deepening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties across the continent.

Thousands of members from Ghana’s Indian community gathered in Accra to welcome the Prime Minister, waving Indian flags and chanting slogans of unity and friendship. Modi, during his address to the community, praised their role in building bridges between the two nations. “Wherever the Indian diaspora goes, they carry our culture, discipline, and values. You are our ambassadors of goodwill,” he said.
