Hrithik–Jr NTR’s War 2 Maintains Momentum, Overtakes Sikandar in 3 Days

War 2 opened with ₹52 crore on day one and registered a 10% jump on day two, closing at ₹57.35 crore. The Hindi original of Ayan Mukerji’s film saw a 50% rise on its second day despite mixed reviews.

Featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in lead roles, the film also performed strongly in the Telugu states, raking in over ₹35 crore in its first three days.

Overseas, collections have been steady though not record-breaking, with the film projected to cross ₹200 crore worldwide by the end of Saturday.

Reacting to the film’s early success, Hrithik Roshan wrote on Instagram: “Witnessing all your cheers & celebrations in cinema halls makes my heart fuller!” Jr NTR also thanked fans, saying: “I am seeing your love for #War2 and I love you back for it… Incredible to see the public support for our film, which we made with a lot of passion.”

Also starring Kiara Advani and Ashutosh Rana, War 2 is part of YRF’s expanding Spy Universe, which includes Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Salman Khan’s Tiger series.
