Farhan Akhtar Updates on Jee Le Zaraa: Are Alia, Priyanka & Katrina Still In?

Bollywood actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar reassured fans that his much-anticipated film Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif, has not been shelved.

Speaking to the YouTube channel Our Stupid Reactions, Farhan said, “I would hate to say that it’s shelved. It has been put on the back burner… it is a film that will happen. Again, I don’t know when, but it’s too delicious a script and so much work has already been done on it.”

He hinted that the original cast may not be final, explaining, “I have finished all location scouts, recorded music… it’s just a matter of time that we come back and do it again. I can’t comment on the cast anymore, but will the film happen? Yes, it will.”

Alia Bhatt had previously noted in 2024 that coordinating the schedules of all the stars was challenging but expressed optimism: “Agar sabke zehan mein hai aur intent mein hain toh woh film ban jayegi.”

Announced on the 20th anniversary of Farhan’s directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai, the buddy road film was set to mark his directorial comeback. In 2023, Farhan also announced Don 3, starring Ranveer Singh.

Farhan Akhtar’s Upcoming Project
Farhan is next seen in 120 Bahadur, directed by Razneesh Ghai and inspired by the true story of the Battle of Rezang La (1962). The film, starring Raashii Khanna, Vivian Bhatena, and Eija Khan, is set for theatrical release on November 21.
