Erika Kirk Delivers Emotional Tribute After Husband Charlie Kirk’s Assassination

Erika Kirk, wife of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk, gave her first public remarks on Sunday following his assassination in Utah last week. Breaking down as she spoke, she described him as a devoted husband and father who “loved life, America, nature, and most of all, his children and me.”

She thanked President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and their families for their support, telling Trump: “My husband loved you, and he knew you loved him too… your friendship is amazing.”

Addressing his death, Erika said her husband was now with “his Savior and his God” and wearing the “glorious crown of a martyr.” She also recalled that if Charlie had ever run for office, his mission would have been “reviving the American family.”

Her remarks came just hours after the arrest of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who authorities say acted alone in the shooting. Investigators believe the attack stemmed from Robinson’s hatred of Kirk’s ideas.

Kirk was killed Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University, struck by a gunshot as he responded to a question about transgender mass shooters. Known for his hardline positions on abortion, gun control, and race, Kirk was a prominent pro-right voice and close ally of President Trump.
