Delhi: Self-Styled Godman Booked for Molestation, 16 Female Students Record Statements at Vasant Kunj Institute
Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, also known as Parth Sarthy, has been booked by Delhi Police after multiple female students of a management institute in the capital accused him of sexual harassment. Despite raids and surveillance operations, he remains at large, according to PTI.
The complaint was filed on August 4 at the Vasant Kunj North police station. Saraswati, a member of the institute’s management committee, allegedly harassed students at the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management. During the investigation, statements were recorded from 32 female PGDM students under the EWS scholarship; 17 of them reported that Saraswati used abusive language, sent obscene messages, and made unwanted physical advances.
Officials said some faculty and administrative staff also pressured students to comply with his demands. A case was registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and 16 victims later deposed before a magistrate.
Investigators discovered a Volvo car with a forged diplomatic number plate — 39 UN 1 — in the institute’s basement, reportedly used by Saraswati. A separate FIR was filed on August 25, and the vehicle was seized. Authorities confirmed that the accused has been actively evading arrest since the allegations surfaced.
