Delhi Police Arrest Key Associate of Gangster Goldy Dhillon in Kapil Sharma’s Canada Restaurant Firing Case
Delhi Police have arrested a man allegedly linked to the series of firings at actor-comedian Kapil Sharma’s restaurant in Canada. According to PTI, the accused—identified as Bandhu Man Singh—is a close associate of Canada-based gangster Goldy Dhillon.
Investigators said Singh was coordinating with Dhillon’s network and was involved in a broader conspiracy to target Sharma’s ‘Kap’s Cafe’ in Surrey as an act of intimidation. Police recovered a Chinese pistol and cartridges from his possession. His connections with overseas operatives and his exact role in the conspiracy are still under investigation.
Authorities are also working to identify other members of the network and map the gang’s activities in India and abroad.
Three firing incidents at Kap’s Cafe
Kapil Sharma’s ‘Kap’s Cafe’ opened in July in Surrey, British Columbia. Within days, it was targeted by unknown shooters. Two more incidents followed—one in August and another on October 16.
Speaking at the trailer launch of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, Sharma said the attacks brought unexpected attention to the restaurant.
“What I feel is that the rules there and the police perhaps don’t have the power to control such incidents. But when our case happened, it went to the federal government and was discussed in the Canadian Parliament,” he said.
“In fact, after every firing incident, we got a bigger opening at the cafe. So it is all okay if God is with me,” he added.
